Michigan State park and recreation officials announced that Wilson State Park has formed two unique partnerships to benefit Wilson State Park campers in the upcoming 2007 season. Wilson State Park is located near Harrison in Clare County.
The Surrey House Restaurant and Saloon and the Tamaracks Golf Course are offering discounts to campers who stay at Wilson State Park, for two consecutive week nights (Sunday through Thursday).
The Tamaracks Golf Course, located six miles north of Wilson State park, is offering discounts on the cost of golfing for adults and/or free golfing for children less than 16 years of age.
"Tamaracks Golf Course is family-owned and operated and they saw this as a way for families to enjoy a fun day together," said Park Supervisor Eric Fransen. "The Surrey House Restaurant and Saloon was recently remodeled and has new owners, Brook and Kim Wood. They are offering our campers a 25% discount on lunch and 20% on dinner. It's a nice place to relax and enjoy a great meal selection from their many menu options."
"We are looking for ways that a park can benefit the community and local businesses and maybe generate a little extra business for the park along the way," added Fransen.
All motor vehicles entering a state park or recreation area must display a Motor Vehicle Permit, available for purchase at the entrance. Cost is $24 for resident annual and $6 for resident daily. A non-resident annual is $29 and a non-resident daily is $8.
