Twin Lakes State Park has formed partnerships to benefit campers for the 2007 season. Twin Lakes is located 25 miles south of Houghton on Highway M-26.

Twin Lakes Convenience, Wyandotte Hills Golf Course, Twin Lakes Java, Krupp's Resort, Parkview Lodge & Grill, Wyandotte Hills Resort, Hallmark Hair Salon, Twin Lakes Resort, Dave's Woodbin and Krupp's Mini-Mart have teamed up to form a partnership with Twin Lakes State Park to offer a variety of discounts to campers who stay four nights at the park.

Campers will receive their coupons upon registering at the contact station and may need to be prepared to show their camping receipt when presenting their coupons at the Twin Lakes area businesses. Most of the businesses border the park property and are within walking distance of the campground, except Dave's Woodbin, which is two miles south of the entrance to Twin Lakes State Park. Campers will receive only one set of coupons for the 2007 season and no replacements will be issued.

"These local businesses are offering some great added values for customers staying at the park this summer. Discounts include breakfast or dinner entrees, lodging, golfing, firewood, haircuts, propane and much more," said Park Ranger Rich Pirhonen. "These discounts will increase the campers' ability to receive more value from their camping experience and offset the high price of traveling."

All motor vehicles entering a state park or recreation area must display a Motor Vehicle Permit, available for purchase at the entrance. Cost is $24 for resident annual and $6 for resident daily. A non-resident annual is $29 and a non-resident daily is $8.
