North Higgins Lake State Park will hold its first "GO-Get Outdoors" Fall Festival on Saturday, Sept. 29. Campers need to plan for a full day as activities begin at 9 a.m. and continue until 10 p.m.
Planned activities include hay rides, crafts with the campground hosts, trick or treating, campsite decorating and a costume contest for kids, adults and pets. There also will be pumpkin bowling, tossing ears of corn, decorating pumpkins, a coloring contest, cider and donuts and a scavenger hunt. Prizes have been donated by local vendors and the park will award them to those who participate.

All motor vehicles entering a state park or recreation area must display a Motor Vehicle Permit, available for purchase at the entrance. Cost is $24 for resident annual and $6 for resident daily. A non-resident annual is $29 and a non-resident daily is $8.
