Walleyes are biting early and late in the day in 20 to 25 feet of water and in 35 to 45 feet during midday on Cass Lake. Jigs tipped with shiner minnows or redtails have been best. Muskie action has improved with small bucktails and spinnerbaits. Bass are hitting a variety of presentations on Grace Lake and Lake Thirteen.

The jumbo perch bite has been very good in six to 12 feet of water on Cass Lake. Look to the bars and points to be most productive with a jig and minnow. Walleyes have been caught in 30 to 45 feet of water with live bait during the day on Cass and in 10 to 12 feet during lowlight periods with Shad Raps. Muskie anglers are raising fish on the bars and weed flats with topwater baits. Look to Grace Lake and Midge Lake for panfish in 12 to 14 feet of water.

Walleyes on Cass Lake are active all day with a jig and minnow working best in 20 to 45 feet of water. You'll find some jumbo perch mixed in, usually in the 20-foot depths. Topwater baits and bucktails are raising muskies on Cass. Bluegill action has been strong in six to eight feet of water in Allen's Bay on Cass and Buck Lake. Daredevils are fooling northern pike along the weed edges of Lake Andrusia.

Walleyes continue to be caught in 30 to 50 feet of water during midday hours on Cass Lake. You'll hook some walleyes in shallow water early and late in the day as well. Perch are being taken from two distinct depths: 20 feet or nine feet of water. Muskie reports have been limited, but northern pike continue to bite well on Lake Andrusia.

Walleyes continue to be caught in 55 to 70 feet of water during the day and in 20 to 25 feet of water during lowlight periods on Cass Lake. Turtle River Bar, Windego Bar, and Buck’s Bar have produced the most fish. LeRoy’s Bar in Pike Bay Lake also has provided steady walleye activity in 55 feet of water. Jumbo perch are being caught on black jigs and minnows in the five- to seven-foot bulrushes of Cass, and muskie action has been slow. Largemouth bass action is good with spinnerbaits on Lake Thirteen and Midge Lake.

Walleyes continue to bite during the day on Cass Lake and Pike Bay Lake. Allen's Bay is producing fish on jig and minnow combinations in 12 to 20 feet of water. Deadman's Bar, The Hump, Turtle River Bar, and LeRoy's Bar also are worth checking in 50 to 70 feet of water. Perch remain shallow and active along the pencil reeds by Star Island. You'll find bluegills and crappies in 25 to 35 feet of water on the flats of Allen's Bay, Buck Lake, and the north arm of Kitchi Lake.
