Perch are biting on Plantagenet and Bemidji. Successful anglers are working the humps and breaklines. Pike Bay is kicking out some sorting size perch. Eelpout bite on Bemidji is just starting to pick up. Most anglers looking for crappies are going to Red Lake.

The perch bite has improved on Lake Bemidji this week. Work the Cameron Park and Library Park areas in 27 feet of water with fathead minnows under a float. Crappie action remains slow, but there are some nice sunfish being caught on Grace Lake in 20 to 24 feet of water.

For perch action, use minnows in about 25 feet of water on Bemidji, Big, Plantagenet and Cass lakes. Sunfish bite best on Grace, Midge and Turtle River lakes in 10-13 feet. Red Lake is still sporadic. Work the 12- to 14-foot breakline and stay mobile for the best results.
