Walleye bite is excellent using jig/minnow. Some anglers still catching fish on nightcrawlers and leeches. Work 10-12 feet down the breaklines, try to find the schools. Limits being caught in the evening hours. Try Cass, Bemidji, Plantagenet. Muskies picking up with a 54-incher and a 46-inch tiger muskie C&R. Crappies picking up on area lakes in deeper water. A slip bobber, small gumdrop jig/grub working well.

Bemidji and Plantagenet lakes are really picking up for walleye action. A few anglers having good luck on Cass and Winnie. A jig/minnow in 14-22 feet of water is all you need. Crappies picking up, and are suspended on area lakes. Fall muskie bite should really turn on now with cool weather.

The majority of walleyes have been taken on spinners or live bait rigs tipped with fathead minnows. Work adjacent to main lake structure in 25 feet of water on Big Lake and Lake Bemidji. Northern pike and an occasional muskie can be caught on lakes like Plantagenet and Bemidji. Look for scattered and suspended panfish over deep water on Turtle River Lake and Lake Beltrami. Waterfowl hunting is decent with ring necks, mallards, and geese in most bags.
