Pike anglers are bobber fishing with sucker minnows in the channels. Walleyes are being caught on Minnetonka fishing the weedlines from 6-8 p.m. Move out to 32-36 feet during the day. Try using a chub on a spinner rig in some of the bigger bays such as Wayzata, Smith’s and Brown’s. Work the bigger points and the deeper humps. Panfish spotty, a few crappies reported in Black Lake. Use a crappie minnow suspended on a bobber in 6-8 feet of water. Muskie action best on the points while slowly running spinnerbaits or bigger wood baits. Bass are in the shallows taking jig-n-pig combos or spinnerbaits with big blades. Quite a few archery does being harvested and also some nice bucks. Should be a good firearms opener.
