Live bait rigs tipped with leeches, crawlers, or shiner minnows are producing walleyes on Blackduck Lake during the evening hours in 12 to 14 feet of water. Pimushe Lake started kicking out walleyes this week as well. Panfish have moved shallow and started biting well on Gilstead Lake and Rabideau Lake. Walleyes bite on Blackduck best in the evenings. Try 14-20 feet of water. Jig/minnow, slip bobber/leech or a Lindy rig/crawler all seem to work. Panfish moving up in the shallows. Best lakes are North and South Twin. Crappie minnows and panfish leeches best bets. Red Lake crappies still going with big pike also being caught and released. Leeches, minnows, and crawlers have produced walleyes during the evening hours on Blackduck Lake in 10 to 14 feet of water. The shallow water panfish action remains strong on North and South Twin Lake. Northern pike are an easy catch on area lakes, but most continue to be small. Walleyes are being caught on Blackduck from 7-18 feet. Try using leeches, crawlers or minnows. Shore anglers are catching trout on Benjamin. Casting a Lindy rig/crawler working well. Leeches and crawlers are now turning the majority of walleyes on Blackduck Lake in 10 to 14 feet of water. Northern pike have been very active, hitting minnows along the weed edges of most area lakes. Lakes such as Rabideau, Gilstead, North, and South Twin continue to provide steady panfish action in shallow water. Timberline Sports and Tackle (218) 835-4636 Courtesy of Outdoor News |

Walleyes biting on Blackduck in 8-15 feet using a jig and a minnow, or a Lindy rig tipped with either a crawler or a leech. Panfish hitting on Gilstad and Rabideau. Pike bite is great on Red Lake. Fish the shoreline breaks with bucktails or try trolling crankbaits or spoons. Crappies on Red Lake moving deeper, with a few still being caught. Look for walleyes in seven to 18 feet of water on Blackduck Lake. A jig and minnow, leeches or crawlers are all producing fish. On Round Lake, 12 to 14 feet of water has been key for walleyes early and late in the day. Panfish and bass are biting in shallow water on Gilstead Lake, Rabideau Lake, and North Twin Lake. Lindy Rigs and leeches are producing walleyes on Blackduck Lake during the day in 14 to 20 feet of water. Slip bobbers and leeches also have turned fish here during the evening hours. There's some consistent crappie and bluegill action taking place in eight to 12 feet of water on Rabideau Lake, North Twin Lake, and South Twin Lake. On Upper Red Lake, the crappie bite has slowed, but northern pike action remains strong in four to six feet with large spoons, bucktails, or minnows.
