The area’s best walleye reports are coming off Norway Lake where spot tail shiner minnows are turning fish in 10 to 15 feet of water. On Ringo Lake and Willmar Lake, casting crankbaits in the shallows at night has produced walleyes as well. Diamond Lake was slow opening day but improved on Sunday. Currently, you’ll catch walleyes here in five to 10 feet of water with crankbaits. There’s a night bite for walleyes taking place on Green Lake in 30 feet of water, while lakes such as Nest, Solomon, and Florida have kicked out an occasional walleye as well.
