Minnewaska walleyes hitting in 20-24 feet on the north side of the lake, late afternoon to early evening with a jig and the head of a fathead. In front of the High School, try 25-30 feet after dark with small sucker minnows. Panfish are now biting on the Glenwood end in front of the Ballroom. Waxworms on a small jig the ticket. Crappies biting out in front of the Fish Hatchery on the Glenwood end right before dark. Small crappie minnows and moon glows working best. Spearing for pike going well on Pelican Lake with the water being clear. Smaller in size, but good action.

Sunfish going on the Glenwood end of Minnewaska in front of the ballroom. In shallow water, there is some good action. The bigger fish are out at the 16- to 18-foot weedline. Waxworms and small jigs throughout the day working best. Crappies biting in front of Fish Hatchery right at dark in 15 feet, 3 feet off the bottom. Try crappie minnows and a moon glow. Walleyes activity on the Starbuck end of Minnewaska is in 20-24 feet of water. Some nice sized perch mixed in here. Anglers using ATVs, snowmobiles.

Panfishing very steady on Lake Minnewaska on the Glenwood end in front of the Lakeside Ballroom. Sunfish are being caught here using waxworms and small jigs during the day in around 16’-17’ of water. You can find crappies in front of the fish hatchery near the Glenwood end towards evening and right after dark using crappie minnows and some type of glow jig. Walleyes and perch are very spotty right now, and your best bet is 20’-24’ of water using fatheads and jigs. Ice conditions here are 12”-14”. Not a many full size pickups on the lakes, but other types of vehicles seem to be ok.

Crappies continue to be caught from Fish Hatchery Bay on Lake Minnewaska in 16 feet of water after dark. Sunfish also can be had on the Glenwood end of Minnewaska in 14 feet, but plan on doing a lot of sorting here. Walleye action remains slow throughout the area.
