Numbers of walleyes are being pulled through the ice on Cass Lake in 12 to 20 feet of water. These fish are hanging along the deep weed edges and hitting shiner minnows early and late in the day. You'll find pods of perch along the six- to eight-foot pencil reeds on Cass and Pike Bay Lake. Panfish action also is strong in the shallow bays of Cass, Kitchi Lake, and Midge Lake. Ice depths range from two to six inches on the main lake and seven to 10 inches in the bays.

There’s a consistent perch biting taking place in five to 12 feet of water. Most flats with sand and weeds are holding fish on Cass Lake. On Pike Bay Lake, you’ll find walleyes and perch in 25 to 30 feet of water. Bluegill action has improved on Grace Lake in 20 to 25 feet of water. Big Lake is a safe bet for crappies and sunfish in 12 feet of water.

Work the sand and weed flats on Cass Lake in six to 12 feet of water for perch. Pike Bay Lake continues to provide a walleye/perch mix in 20 to 30 feet of water early and late in the day. Big Lake is the area's best crappie option in 14 feet of water, while Grace Lake continues to give up sunfish in 20 to 22 feet of water.

Perch are biting along the 10- to 20-foot sand flats of Cass Lake. Pike Bay Lake and Lake Andrusia are providing perch action in 10 to 12 feet of water. Look for bluegills on Midge Lake and Grace Lake, while Lower Sucker Lake and Kitchi Lake produce crappies during the evening hours in 20 to 30 feet of water. Northern pike are active while the sun is out on Midge Lake in 12 to 14 feet of water.
