Crappies and sunfish are starting to bite on Lake Le Homme Dieu and Lake Darling. Lake Mini, Victoria and Geneva are also producing crappies in 20-24 feet of water. Walleyes are biting somewhat on Ida and Miltona in the 30+foot range. Ice conditions are not good. Ice has melted and there is slush on top. Travel is only safe on foot, by snowmobile or 4-wheeler.

Lake Victoria, Lake Geneva, Lake Mina, and Lake Le Homme Dieu are producing sunfish and crappies along the 14- to 20-foot weedlines. The morning and late afternoon hours have provided bigger and more active fish. Northern pike and walleye reports have been nonexistent this week.

Ice conditions have improved, some people are starting to drive on the area lakes. Make sure to check out the conditions before driving. Panfishing this last week has been sporadic because of the cold weather, but the lakes on the Chain, Lake Mini and Lake Minnewaska have been producing bluegills and crappies. Most have been fishing these areas in 10-15 feet of water. Walleye action has been quiet. You want to stick to the bigger lakes like Ida and Le Homme Dieu. Try fishing here in 18-30 feet of water right before dark
