The Red Lake crappie action has picked up. There have been many reports of limits taken. Blackduck has had some good perch action and also seen some walleyes caught. Most lakes have approximately 14-18 inches of ice, Red Lake having more. Slush has pretty much frozen back up now.

Perch action remains strong on Blackduck Lake in seven to 22 feet of water. You'll pick off a walleye or two here as well. The bigger perch remain scattered at various depths so it's important to stay on the move. Rabideau Lake is kicking out bluegills in 10 to 20 feet of water and there are crappies biting on Gilstead Lake in 30 to 40 feet of water.

Blackduck is still producing some perch. They have been coming out of any depth of water, anywhere from 6-7 feet to 22-23 feet of water. Lots are being caught, but you need to sort through them. The walleye bite has been spotty lately, but a few are still being caught in the 10-14 foot range. Some limits are being caught on Red Lake, but for most, fishing has been slow. Although, fishing seems to picking up each week. The pike fishing on Red Lake is getting better each week. Some that are fishing for crappies are getting pike. Some of the smaller lakes have been producing fish, Gilstad is producing crappies and Rabideau is producing some bluegills.
