Some guys buy a new sports car for their mid life crisis
--- I have all the vehicles I need!
Some find themselves a new wife
---- I have a wonderful wife and child!
Some buy more hair
---- I am OK with going bald!
Some go after drinking alcohol like its going out of style
---- I have never been good at being drunk!
Some find religion
--- I am good with the lord!
SO -- What does RandyMan do for his mid life crisis??
2 things!
1) I have our own Trout Whisper teaching me the fine art of fly fishing! He is the best!
2) I updated my fishing boat!
It’s a gently used Lund Alaskan 20 footer! Loaded with all kinds of electronics - Here Fishy Fishy!!

I'm told that "here fishy, fishy" doesn't work, Randy. But I'm sure you'll figure that out.

I think there's something about sucking your cheeks in, pooching out your lifes, sticking your face in the water and making rhythmic burping noises. It's very messy. I wouldn't recommend it.

| Well ---- I just might give it a try if it will increase the number of fish I catch. If nothing elese it would make a funny picture! |

Actually, Randy, that's a pretty cool looking boat you got there. Did you get it wet, yet? I hope the first fishy that bites your hook is a monster.
"Fishy, fishy, bite my hook; you be the captain--I'll be the cook."
Remember that one?

Thank you! I have not yet put this boat in the water - I am waiting for open water!!!! We are looking forward to the ice leaving the Brainerd lakes Area - Then - I am all over the place fishing. A new boat is something I have been savin for and just happen to be lucky enough to find what I was looking for. It is a little bigger than I was looking for ( was looking for a 18 footer) BUT the 20 footer is more stable in BIG water - like Lake Superior. TW and I are already planning a fishing trip on the big lake! My 14 footer (old boat) would not have done well on the big pond!! |

I am frankly nerevous in anything smaller than an ore boat out on that big lake! So, I don't blame you for welcoming the extra two feet. More room for fish, too! Plus, it sounds like you got the extra gizmos that give you an edge on those smart fish.
I forget, living so close to the shore, that things thaw out more slowly farther inland. I hope you get your open water real soon! But, like you say, there's always Lake Superior in the meantime.
