| I am planning on making our annual trek to Lake of the Woods. To my dismay, one of our favorite resorts was completely booked. Anyone have reviews to share on resorts in the Baudette, MN area? |

Hey to all !! Just got off Lake of the woods today - started my fishing hiatus past Monday! Was a fun filled trip with my dad and FBI (_ucking brother in-law) -- really - he is a wonderful guy! We had good fishing - no real big fish but had a nice meal and came home with fish! The ice was 17+ inches 1 mile out past pine island - but remember - IT IS ICE and you take your own risks! We were in my sleeper most of the time as it was REAL cold! We did need supplies and went to shore one night -- I will soon be writing an artical about how we were treated at the places along the shore - KEEP an EYE OUT FOR THIS ONE!! its a must read if you plan to go up that way! If your going soon - please stop in at River View and tell them Randy Man sent ya! See you on the ice |

| I am heading up to stay in Arnesen's sleeper Feb. 4-6th. For those who don't know they are located on the west side of the lake on Rock Point. I will be pounding the reefs hard. This is the area where I came up with my rebound method(see articles). Their will be 9 guys all togethor staying in 2 sleepers. I will post a review after we get back. |

HogEye,
We have had requests from viewers about Arnesen's Resort. Can you share some details about the resort?

Sure thing,
This is a very nice resort that offers fully furnished cabins, day trips, sleeper houses and fine dining in their lodge that overlooks Buffalo Bay of Lake of the Woods. The lodge is perched atop Rocky Point. They have a great prime rib, shrimp, lobster or even a burger and fries. You will be treated very well at this resort. The guides are very experienced with many of them growing up in the fishing/resort business. They will work their butt off to put you on fish and check in on you regularly. This resort provides access to the "reef" areas of the lake for those who enjoy fishing structure and steep breaks. This is a great change of pace for those used to fishing the flat basin of the Pine Island area. A few spots to try would included 12 mile reef, 16 mile reef, arnesen's reef among many others. Many of their ice houses are placed on or near lesser known reefs and gravel bars. You can tell they have been in the business a long time when you stay there as you will be treated like royalty. The prices at Arnesen's are very comparable to other resorts on Lake of the Woods as well. I go every year and will continue to. |
