Here ia a good spot for you all to share your pictures from the deer hunting season! Take your camera out and share with us!

Does not have to be a big deer! or even a deer - maybe just a picture of the group or family you hunt with!

I will start it off - here is a picture from last year - My buddy Liz took a little time off during the week and ran out into the woods behind the house before I could get out. By the time I got home he had got this winner! Not the worlds largest but was real good eating!!!

Thanks for the info, RandyMan.

Although, I get a little dizzy looking at the Lizard's picture.

Don't forget to add your deer hunting pics in the hunting photo gallery as well.

Here is a motivational image:

My friends, Vic and Patty Funk, have a lot to be proud of.

Below is their son, Mitch, with a dandy 14 pointer taken opening week end in Minnesota.

Hope everyone is having [or had] a great deer season!  Been amazing for our camp... our best on record!  I, of course, haven't filled a tag yet, but have passed on some small 6 and 8 pointers due to the amount of deer we've been seeing [and their size].  Here's a couple picts from our first two weekends.....five on the pole the first week and three the second, including the 300 pound swamp buck we've aptly named "Stumpy" because he looked about four feet long when we hung him.  And, believe it or not, the guy that shot him let him go the first time by because he didn't have 12 points [his brother was leading our buck contest with a 12 pointer from the first weekend]!  He only ended up shooting him because when he came back the second time there was some brush behind him and he thought he saw two more small points.

Ryan

Yup, had about an inch when we got back up there Wednesday night for the second weekend that had mostly melted by Thursday afternoon - then a real fast heavy 2-3 inches fell on Saturday afternoon. The "Maple Grove Bar Association" is about 12 miles east of Finland. A whole different world once you get over the hill coming from the shore.

Nope, I don't think I know anybody in Finland anymore... been a long time since I moved from Silver Bay.

Don't think we've ever talked about trout fishing... I could be wrong though, don't get to do too much of that anymore.

Hey Ryan - looks like you all have been doing well
I would think being in Zone 1 that you have this weekend open yet for hunting - are you going out? If so - I would love to see pictures of the results!

Way to go!

Well, it took most of the season before seeing one I wanted to shoot.  Not the biggest in the woods, but one of my best.  Got to the shack Friday at 1 PM, in my stand at 2:30, buck down at 2:40 - the only deer we saw all weekend.  A good close to an amazing season for us!

I probably won't be back up there until Jan. at the earliest. You guys can shoot the does, I have more than enough venison now. But, we had a group of ten two weekends in a row and saw a total of 6 does with a couple fawns so thinning that part of the herd wasn't really an option for us - they were deep in hiding during the day. My guess... area 126 and maybe 180 are going to get stuck with an "Earn-a-Buck" label real soon. I talked with several guys walking the road in front of our shack because of all the does in the ditches there at night.... that was this weekend and they hadn't filled one of their bonus tags.

my area had a 37 percent increase in registrations.......we have so many road kills.......and fields with 60-300 deer .......no woodlot can support those deer numbers all winter.....we have a huge number of little deer......does that set twins as a minimum......in certain areas of the state.......i wish they would offer some sort of cleanup hunt.........it would not have to be state wide........
i never have enough venison...get the long end on the wishbone brother........tw
