After spending the cash for a 'scent elimination suit' cause I was tired of being winded by deer.....I happened upon an 'eureka' moment while sweating in the tree stand in the Summer heat of September in Nebraska.
As I was sitting, sweating, and getting bored I had an itch behind an ear, so I slowly scratched it.....and of course it moved to under my nose while fixing that itch I happened to take in a breath 'through my nose'......'wow' I found there to be quite a stink behind both ears.
Next morning after a good shower with no-scent soap, I applied Scent-Sheild hand and body lotion behind the ears, underarms, face, and down south (groin),......haven't worn the scent elimination suit and haven't been winded since,.... this is not an endorsement for that particular product I'm sure any compareable type of lotion will work, so if you are getting winded and you aren't sure why.......check behind your ears it might make the difference.
Mom was right "wash behind your ears", and if you are like me, dab a little of the scent blocking lotion and see if it changes your odds.
Good luck and "wear your safety harness, anytime your in your treestand!"
