Father’s Day is just around the corner. It’s an especially important day for sportsmen and women, many of whom formed their love of the outdoors by hanging out with Dad on hunting, fishing, and trapping excursions.

I bet old Dad would like to be asked on an outing.

I usually try and get my daughter to go out with me and fish. It is one of those times that I love to share the boat with her and it means so much to her to be able to go, just the two of us. Will have to check and see if this is in her plans for this year. You know girls, they always have some big plans set for their old dad and hopefully they include a little fishing again this year.

I always have the camera with and any fish she catches gets a photo. My son is three and we will see if I can get him to that point that he wants to be on the water all the time. I really love getting kids introduced to fishing and fishing with them is a blast. I always look forward to all outings with my kids.
