Hey ScumFrog, Thanks for sharing the story. Wow! What a monster. I see they have a video of the guy also. Mark Raveling - Lake Auburn, near Victoria, Minn. The old record for a largemouth bass in Minnesota was eight pounds, 12 and 3/4 ounces. That bass was caught in Le Sueur County. On Monday, the pair caught a largemouth bass that weighed in at eight pounds, 15 ounces, which shattered the old record by more than two ounces. Here is a clickable link to the story: http://wcco.com/topstories/local_story_277093329.html Now get fishing, ScumFrog, the bar has been raised. Team JustNorth |

Congrats goes out to Mark and goes to show you that the northern states can produce big bass as well. Scumfrog, now is the time of year to get out there and there is a good chance at catching some huge fish this time of year. All it can do is get better from now to ice up. Never to late to go fishing. |
