Hey Trout Whisperer- I am marking gills and crappies on my graph. I can see them..... but they do not bite An ideas for me, Oh fishing master!!! Please don't tell me to stop drinking so much Miller light.

Hey stzokcr I am no "fishing master" but I can tell ya what I have been doing! I have seen this 100000 times! 1st thing I do is check the mood of the fish - you need to know if they are looking for something smaller or bigger. I check smaller 1st, if I have a crappie minnow - I may try a waxy - if I am wazy fishing - cut it in 1/2 and use smaller jig. If that does not work - check your jigging style. MOST times this late in ice season crappie like a short smooth jig action. That said - I have also seen them slam a jig going 1 ft up with a fast snap of the wrist and hold. If that does not work - I put on every lure I own - one at a time - by the time I have done all of this - and they still do not bite - I freak!!! Then - I move to a new spot Hope this helps!!
